Canceling, changing, waiting

Your reserved ride after plans shift: waits, changes and refunds

Every condition here is one each company accepts in writing before it receives rides from the desk, effective September 27, 2026, for rides to or from John Wayne Airport, LAX and Long Beach Airport. In short: a request costs nothing, canceling after your yes costs nothing up to 6 hours before pickup, and the company holding your reservation confirms each change in writing.

Before your yes, nothing to cancel

A request and the written fare that answers it are free and bind you to nothing, so until you accept there is no reservation to cancel. The companies the desk asks about a car see only the ride details; your name, phone and email go to one company only, the one whose fare you accept.

Once you accept: free until six hours out

Your yes turns a written fare into a reservation. The desk passes the booking to that one company, which sends its written confirmation under its own name: its state permit number, the car size, the fare, where you meet the car and the number to call on the day. Canceling costs nothing up to 6 hours before the pickup time it shows.

To cancel, tell the desk or call the line in that confirmation and name the ride. The ride to the airport and the ride home are separate requests with separate written fares, so canceling one leaves the other reserved.

Inside the last six hours, and no-shows

Later than 6 hours before pickup, the company may charge up to the written fare, never above it, and no written fare for a ride the desk passes on goes above $250 for the car. A ride counts as a no-show only once its free wait has run out: 15 minutes at a pickup address, or at the airport 60 minutes after a domestic flight and 90 minutes after an international arrival, counted from the actual landing.

New hour, new address or a heavier load

A new pickup time, address or load goes through the desk or the line in the confirmation, and the company confirms it in writing. A changed load can call for another car size and fare (golf bags added to a sedan ride call for an SUV), and both reach you in writing within the limits above. See what fits for how the desk counts a load.

Late landings and canceled flights

The company times the free wait from the flight number on your request, which shows whether the flight is domestic or international. The wait starts when the flight actually lands, so a late arrival does not eat into it. Past it, waiting is charged only when you ask the driver to keep waiting, at the rate your written fare names, within $250 for the car in all. A canceled flight changes or cancels the ride under the same conditions: tell the desk or the company as soon as you know.

You owe nothing if the company drops the ride

When the company cancels a reserved ride, or its car does not come to the meeting point in the confirmation, you owe nothing for that ride, to the company or to the desk, and the company returns anything already paid for it. Tell the desk by phone or email, the same route a complaint takes.

Refunds for a charge over the fare

Your written fare is the whole charge. The ride itself, with the drive, fuel, the airport's fee for the trip, road tolls and any service charge inside, comes at or below the figure the site prints for your town, airport and car size. Any extra you asked for, such as a child seat, an extra stop or a longer wait, stands on its own line on top of that, and the whole fare stays within $250 for the car. A tip is up to you, sits outside the fare and is never added by default. If the company charges more than the written fare, the company refunds the amount above it.

Complaints and the 15-day answer

Send a complaint about a ride to the desk by phone or email; the contact page lists both. The desk passes it to the company on the day it arrives and answers you in writing, and the company's written answer reaches you within 15 days.

No charge from the desk, ever

This site never handles a payment, and the desk never charges anything, a cancellation or a change included. Any charge comes from the company under the conditions above. For each ride it completes, a company pays the desk the same flat fee every company pays, already inside its fare and never an added line.

Classic Car Cruise LLC publishes these conditions, and they take effect September 27, 2026. Each one is part of the written acceptance a company gives before it receives rides. The full terms and the fare tables cover the rest, and a new request starts on the request form.

Fare figures set on September 27, 2026, from the fares that car companies in the area publish. A company's written fare for the ride itself, for the same town, airport and car size, is the same or lower; extras you ask for are listed on their own lines.
